3. Connecting rigorous system analysis to experience centred design
نویسندگان
چکیده
The chapter explores the role that formal modelling may play in aiding the visualisation and implementation of usability with a particular emphasis on experience requirements in an ambient and mobile system. Mechanisms for requirements elicitation and evaluation are discussed, as well as the role of scenarios and their limitations in capturing experience requirements. The chapter then discusses the role of formal modelling by revisiting an analysis based on an exploration of traditional usability requirements before moving on to consider requirements more appropriate to a built environment. The role of modelling within the development process is re-examined by looking at how models may incorporate knowledge relating to user experience and how the results of the analysis of such models may be exploited by human factors and domain experts in their consideration of user experience issues.

متن کاملA human centred approach to simulation: a case study of software to support system design and development
A technocentric approach to the use of simulation software in production system design uses it as an expert tool to assist system designers in a one ofs design. A human centred approach, in contrast, uses simulation sofmare to support teams of users to make key decisions about system design. In addition, it provides support for continued improvement and development activities by the users. In o...
متن کاملInstructional Design, Implementation, and Evaluation of an E-Learning System, an Experience in Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Introduction: Designing e-learning systems based on the principles and prerequisites of teaching and learning theories requires a comprehensive and systematic approach to instructional design procedure. An experience of instructional design, implementation and evaluation of an e-learning system is represented in this study. Methods: In the present action research study, five steps of systemati...

متن کاملEvolving and augmenting worth mapping for family archives
We describe the process of developing worth maps from field research and initial design sketches for a digital Family Archive, which resulted in a more simple and flexible worth map format. Worth maps support designing as connecting by forming explicit associations between designs and human values. Two supporting worth-centred design resources were developed: one to organize field materials (a ...
